What is occuring?

I've been listening to tracks off Charmed & Strange for a few months, and have been completely intrigued by it. Then I read the excellent Guardian review of the gig at Manchester (http://yoav.forumotion.com/act?u=11&ak=b052ce04520117), followed by, again, a Guardian plug for the KCRW session (http://www.kcrw.com/music/programs/mb/mb080220yoav). So, imagine my surprise when I saw that Yoav was playing locally, at the Barfly in Brighton. Then, imagine my bewilderment when only about 30 people turned up. Ah well; Yoav was absolutely superb, and played as if he was at the Albert Hall. A consummate professional. Can't wait for the next gig.

I think the best thing we fans can do is to spread the word. We've bought about 10 copies of the album, and we're giving them to friends and recommending his music to people... I think he deserves fame so I personally am trying to spread the word.
