just signed up, cought Yoav opening for Tori : Clearwater FL

Went to the Tori concert with the wife (birthday present for her, surprised her, while not front-row, was close enough to get the sweat off of jimmy page if you know what I mean). On the way in, got to asking "I wonder who is opening for her this time?" And discussing previous opening acts, the most memorable thus far being Ben Folds (which was a grand opening act to be sure). Anyways, had our seats, place went dark, and this skinny kid in bare feat walked out with a guitar. I groaned, remembering the last opening act, another guitar act that, while good, just did not fit with the atmosphere in the place. Then, Yoav played. Two jaws dropped to the floor, and before the first song was finished I was out of my seat heading to the door... and right to the retail booth. Bought two copies of his 4 track album right there. Song after song I kept being even more impressed, not since Vernon Reid had I seen anyone so skilled with the simple guitar.

Made a fantasic evening that much more impressive. Been torturing our friends with his CD's ever since, and even converted some.

I think most people who saw Yoav were impressed. He indeed is very talented. Looking forward to seeing him in San Francisco next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
